Bass Lake Preserve is 52-acre nature preserve best known for its 1.4-mile George Haun Trail that meanders through oak savannah and prairie around Bass Lake.

In addition to meandering trails, the Preserve is also home to 2 tennis courts and 2 pickleball courts. Tennis courts are available to rent, for a fee, April through October. Call 952-924-2540 to reserve a court.

At the adjacent Bass Lake Park, children will love playing on the interactive Biba Smart Playground, one of only four such playgrounds in St. Louis Park. Parents can download a free app to use at the park to encourage play. The app also has games for kids and features for parents. The park has a picnic shelter and, in winter, an ice rink.
