The ROC is a multi-use, covered outdoor recreational facility located on the campus of the Rec Center. From October through early March, it features an outdoor skating rink. Public skating sessions are offered on Friday evenings and weekend afternoons. Free pond hockey is available on weekends for all ages. The ROC, which can be rented for a fee, is home to broomball games and other special events. The rink is so cool that the Minnesota Wild host a practice there each year.
Multiple Uses
In spring, the ROC can be converted from an ice rink into a turfed field for baseball, softball, soccer and lacrosse, as well as special events such as the annual spring egg hunt. During the summer, a dry, concrete floor provides space for the Children First Ice Cream Social and a variety of other special events from weddings to movies in the park, to graduation parties.
The ROC features 17,000 sq. ft. of space. The main rental space measures 200 ft. by 85 ft. and includes bleacher seating for 450.
Catering is allowed from preferred vendors.
