Haggard is synonymous with gritty, gnarly and well worn. Haggard Barrel is a small, up-and-coming brewery run by two industry veterans. Their brew space may look a little haggard, but their beer is not. Their focus is small batch lagers and barrel aged stouts with a DIY aesthetic.
Some of their current offerings include:
- Schlapp’s – an American lager made with choice barley malt and flaked corn and lightly hopped. 4.3% ABV.
- DIPA – a “Decade Under The Influence” India pale ale brewed with classic West Coast IPA ingredients and new-age hopping techniques and technology.
- Plain Vanilla Stout – brewed with real vanilla beans.
- Sweater and Chain – a hazy IPA.
- Glonky – smoothie-style sour ales in 2 flavors and brewed without lactose.
Located in the heart of Skunk Hollow, St. Louis Park’s unofficial libation destination, next door to Warehouse Winery. The have a cool new taproom and also sell 16 oz. cans of beer to go.
