The Fox & Beggar Theater presents its eighth feature-length production, “Tigre! Tigre!”, a new show about humankind’s absurd relationship to technological progress.
The story begins at the dawn of the Scientific Revolution, where a pair of Medieval two-dimensional paper dolls are building the first thing to exist in the next dimension– a human.
Combining puppetry, traditional clown theater, and a live score influenced by everything from Medieval court music to Gilbert & Sullivan, “Tigre! Tigre!” explores humanity’s relationship to technology while asking the fundamental question: what drives us to perpetually open new doors that we know we won’t be able to close?
Come catch an unticketed performance atop their spectacular mobile theater located in the large grass area east of the park building. Bring friends and a lawn chair or picnic blanket, and make sure to dress for the weather in case we get an unexpectedly chilly night.
