The CPKC Holiday Train is making its annual ride for the 25th year through the northern U.S., bringing live entertainment and Christmas cheer in exchange for donations to local food banks. The train will arrive at the railway crossing at Golden Hills Drive in Golden Valley at 4:45 pm. From there, it will travel on to the railroad crossing at Library Lane & Lake St in St. Louis Park, arriving at approximately 6 pm. At each location, you’ll enjoy a 1/2 hour performance by Tenille Townes and Breland. This is a free event, but attendees are encouraged to bring a financial donation or healthy food for PRISM or STEP.
In St. Louis Park, the train stop is right by STEP – the St. Louis Park Emergency Program. People are welcome to start gathering as early as 4:30 pm to get a good spot. Hot food and beverages will be available for purchase. The concert will take place from about 6:15 to 6:45 pm. The concert will only be viewable from the west side of the tracks. Once the train arrives you will not be able to cross the tracks, so please plan accordingly.
