Angel Food bakery is a one-of-a-kind bakery where everything is made from scratch in small batches. Grab a coveted counter stool and watch the bakers in action as they decorate cupcakes, knead dough and put the finishing touches on a beautiful array of sweets, from hot fresh donuts to exquisite wedding cakes. You’ll definitely want to try the legendary “Dough-Naparts,” spectacular croissant donut hybrids that take 3 days to make with hundreds of glorious layers. Each delicious knot is perfectly chewy and flaky, with an irresistible vanilla glaze. They also serve cookies, cupcakes, muffins, bars and pretzels, plus savory items such as a sausage roll and a vegetarian curry roll. Oh, and they have gluten-free donuts too!
A coffee bar carries a complete menu of coffee drinks, with beans from locally-based Folly Coffee, as well as cold press and ice tea on tap. They also serve a curated selection of wine, bubbles, cocktails and craft beer from Modist Brewing and Drekker Brewing.
Angel Food is unique in that it’s actually two places in one. The second half of the bakery transforms into FrioFrio, a fun popsicle shop, with non-traditional flavors such as raspberry hibiscus and grapefruit/carrot/ginger. Dress up your ice lollies with chocolate dips and sprinkles!
