A Space for the Community

The St. Louis Park Rec Center is the ultimate community gathering space! It’s home to public ice skating, hockey tournaments, meetings, wedding receptions, conferences, birthday parties and more. It features two indoor ice arenas, a skate shop, a Banquet Room and Gallery Room. The center also includes an outdoor Aquatic Park and the Recreation Outdoor Center (ROC).

Event Space

The larger Banquet Room overlooks scenic Wolfe Park and the Aquatic Park. It is the perfect space for wedding receptions, birthday parties, bar and bat mitzvah celebrations, company events, family reunions and meetings. There is a caterer’s holding kitchen and alcoholic beverages may be served (with additional fees, contact Complete Beverage at 1-800-550-7750). The Banquet Room is available to rent Sunday – Friday (with a two-hour minimum) or Saturday from 8 am – midnight.

The Gallery Room, which is located on the first floor of the Rec Center and accommodates up to 50, is perfect for small group gatherings, team meetings and birthday parties. During open public skating, either room may be rented for private parties. Rental includes two-hour use of a room and skating admission for up to 15 people. AV equipment can be rented for an additional fee. The Gallery Room is available to rent Sunday – Saturday, 8 am – 10 pm.

Ice Skating & Hockey

The Rec Center is home to both figure skating and hockey. The rink is open on for public skating on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, as well as weekends. Those ages 16 and up can participate in open hockey sessions on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Special public skating events, such as Goblins on Ice, Turkeys on Ice, and Disco Ball Ice Skating are held throughout the season. Rental skates and skate sharpening are available for a fee.

Indoor Ice Rink Rental

The Rec Center boasts two indoor arenas. The larger West arena features stadium seating and excellent site lines. The smaller East arena provides great lighting and offers an informal rink setting. Both have outstanding ice and are perfect for tournaments, company events and holiday parties. Rink rental includes free use of the Gallery Room for up two hours. For those needing more space, the Banquet Room can also be reserved for half price.
